Dr Rajna Golubic

Rajna is an investigator with the team and has recently been awarded funding from the Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation for her to investigate more closely the effects of new therapeutic agents on the metabolism of glucose.

Dr Lucy Truman

I am a Surgeon-Scientist and Clinical Fellow in Experimental Medicine and ENT Surgery. My specific research interest is in autoimmune inflammation, lymphoid tissue organisation in Type 1 Diabetes and Sjögren’s syndrome. I have previously been involved with clinical trials for type 1 diabetes, chronic otitis media, Sjögren’s syndrome and neurosurgery. My clinical speciality is Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr Frank Waldron-Lynch

Dr Frank Waldron-Lynch is a physician scientist and is an honorary fellow of the University of Cambridge. He is also a Consultant Endocrinologist and was principal investigator for the 'DILT1D' and 'DILfrequency' type 1 diabetes clinical research studies which investigated novel immunotherapy for the disease. He is currently based in Basel Switzerland working with Novartis in the area of Translational Immunology and autoimmunity.

Dr Mark Evans

Mark Evans is a Reader of Diabetic Medicine at the Metabolic Research laboratories in the Institute of Metabolic Science, University of Cambridge and an Honorary Consultant Physician at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He specialises in the treatment of type 1 diabetes and hypoglycaemia and is involved in research of novel therapies as well as novel medical devices for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Mark is principal investigator for many of the diabetes studies here at Cambridge and is also the research lead for the diabetes service.
